This week in Shale was spent taking advantage of the beautiful sunny days, before the evening thunderstorms! We went on a trip to the park at Clara Tyner Elementary School and had a marvelous time playing on the jungle gym! We especially enjoyed pretending to drive in the wooden car as we made car sounds! Beep Beep!

Our interest this week seemed to be focused on building structures. We had a great time building tall towers together with our foam blocks and knocking them down! It was exciting to watch really big towers, as tall as the children, topple to the floor! Outside, we used larger wooden blocks to build even bigger structures. We noticed that some of the children were using the round, flat blocks like steering wheels, turning them round and round, as they sat on the blocks. Watch out drivers, Shale Room is taking over the streets!
