This week in Sandstone we have been exploring incline movement a bit further. We started off by dropping coloured water on ramp with wax paper. We found out when we took a lot of water and dropped it on the wax paper it ran down fast. But if we only let a few drops go then they would slow down and stop without more water to help them along. The next day we tried dropping items down the table with different tubes and Ramps. Holding one of the ramps to the table was some clear tape and the tape had a lip on it. Once we discovered that when a ball hits that lip it launches into the air, well then we tried launching everything we could off the ramp! On Tuesday we decided to go on a park hunt. The children were very exited to go and look for new parks to challenge our big body movement. We found the “orange park” and a new splash park by Kelinworth community league. Both had new elements to challenge us in our climbing and balancing.
Have a wonderful weekend.
