This week in Shale classroom, some of our friends were able to take advantage of the finally warm weather!  We took a small group outside with Quartz classroom and we were able to explore the snow outside.  As the weather continues to warm up, please remember to send your children with proper outdoor attire – hats, mittens, jackets, and snowpants.  Thank you!

We have also turned our focus in Shale Room to the animals around us!  We were noticing that many of our friends were interested in different animals and the sounds that they make.  Sue brought in her iPad and we listened to different animal sounds, trying to identify which animals we heard.  It was exciting to bring technology into the classroom and see how the children reacted to it.  We look forward to continuing our research of animals to find out what else we can learn!
