This week in shale we enjoyed our last week as a unit before some of our friends move on up to quartz and before we welcome new friends in January! We have had a blast growing, learning and exploring together! Learning new words, from walking to talking to running and singing! We will miss Estella, Evelyn, Ezra, Isla and Norah as they begin their journey in a new room! This week we enjoyed running free in the hallway with roaming balls, singing Jingle bells, and Rudolph at morning meeting. We enjoyed exploring paint at the table and building snow castles outside! On Wednesday we went as a whole class to bake cookies for our party! We enjoyed cutting the dough with cookie cutters and then later on decorating the cookies, YUM YUM! This week we also had the opportunity to juice with Paulette! We were so interested in watching the fruits and vegetables go in as a whole and coming out as juice! WOW! We used apple, celery and carrot. All of our friends had the opportunity to enjoy the juice that we made some of us even had three glasses.
We also had a new friend come to visit us this week! Cooper! Marisa’s puppy came for a visit in the afternoon. The children were so excited to see our new friend and we enjoyed throwing the ball and giving him lots of love! HOORAY ! PUPPY! Some of our friends even wondered where Cooper was the next day! Thursday was our “DO YOU WANT TO BUILD A SNOWMEN!” party it was so nice to see familiar faces at the party and we had lots of fun laughing and playing together. Friday we are celeberating the holidays with our shale room! I hope every one has a fabulous weekend and holiday break and to some of the families we will see in the new year!
