It is the middle of the month and we cannot believe how fast summer is going in Sandstone! We have started the summer off by exploring transformation in nature with gardening. As we have observed workers around the centre, our exploration of transformation has now shifted to construction. We have been asking questions at morning meeting about what has been going on around our centre. What we have found is that it means “getting dirty”! There are a lot of different kinds of trucks used in construction, “tractors, work truck, diggers”. The tools that we most commonly know is a screwdriver, we have seen it being used at home to “fix things when they are broken” and at the day care the screwdriver has been used to build our outdoor play house. Outside we have been busy using the pylons to mark of different areas in the yard to play with. We will continue to explore the different types of construction and might even take a walk to explore what constriction is happening around us.
