This week in Shale, we welcomed 2 new friends. We are enjoying getting to know them better, especially at circle time and meal time, where we can be close to them. They each have their own personality and bring gifts of laughter and new skills to our room. This week we decided to focus on the friendships we have with each other and discover new ways of building stronger relationships through play.
As we approach Summer Solstice, we are enjoying the abundance of sunshine and shade. Our stroller rides get more and more interesting as the neighbourhood is full of blooming flowers to smell, new evergreen growth to touch, and lots of crows and magpies to imitate.
We ended this week on a high note as we sang and participated in musical games with Dawn. We love to tap to the beat of the music. Tapping the beanbag was fun for us because this week, we have been finding all kinds of things to tap – from drums and laps at circle time to empty bowls outside.
