This week in shale was busy, fun, and full of new faces and changes!
We started our week off with transitioning 6 of our Shale friends to Quartz Room, we are doing this by having three friends visit in the morning and then other three friends visit in the afternoon. Our six little friends are Kinley, Taryn, Roman, Parker, June and Ava and also Jayda once she returns from summer vacation. We are sad to see them grow up soooo fast and move to the older room but it is a much needed transition for their growth and for that we are so excited for their new chapter in life. We will miss you guys so so much. We also started to welcome our new shale team members to our little shale family! Welcome Sarah from Jasper Room and Michelle from Quartz Room we are excited to have you join and look forward to all the positive growth to be seen, our classroom already had a fantastic transformation and it seems to fit well with all of our friends! We are also sad to see Paulette move to Sandstone and Laura is heading back to school but will still be here part time so we will all still be able to spend time with both of them!
Despite all of our changes to Shale we still did lots of exploring! We explored green water outside and used big and small bottles for dumping and we also explored yellow water inside with cotton balls and tweezers to practice our fine motor skills. We built towers with the big Legos blocks, the wooden blocks and even the colorful sensory blocks, we also added soft blocks to foam soap and made them stick together. We had the chance to explore play dough and used different shaped rollers to roll out the play dough and make different designs. We also colored with crayons and markers, that was so much fun! Last but not least we got to go to the seniors again this week to read stories with our good friends James and Maureen!
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and see you all on Monday!
