This week in Shale Room, we seemed to be feeling the chill of the change of season because we were very interested in putting on clothes and the different ways we secure our clothing! We practiced putting on our shoes and socks and looked at the differences between Ava and Kinley’s Velcro sandals, June’s rubber boots, and Laura’s zipper shoes! We dressed ourselves to go outside with our hats and outside shoes and we also dressed up our baby dolls and stuffies in rain gear! Our Shale friends are learning to be more independent and this is exciting.
We had a lot of fun this week exploring playdough and manipulating it into interesting shapes! We also spent time outside building with the wooden blocks! Although they were heavy and they needed assistance at times, our Shale friends were determined to build their creative structure! We also explored painting over tape on a large piece of paper and we were excited to see the results when we pulled it off!
Have a great weekend, and we’ll see you on Monday!
