It’s the last week of April, how time flies! This week has been bittersweet because we are saying goodbye to three of our Shale friends, but we are also welcoming two new friends to our room! To Jacob and Sylvie, we are sad that you won’t be in our classroom anymore, but we are excited about the new adventures you’ll both have in Quartz! Sam, we know that you are going to be a great big brother and take great care of both Mommy and baby! And to Soren and Kate, we can’t wait to experience and grow with you!
We have been exploring our new concept of Transformation throughout the week through extended projects and activities. So far, we’ve looked at the transformation of a caterpillar to a butterfly and now we’re transitioning into the change tadpoles experience to become frogs! Ribbit! We enjoy singing froggy songs like “Three Green and Speckled Frogs” and waking up and hopping like the “Sleepy Froggies”! We made puff paint tadpoles and explored our swampy water table complete with lily pads!
We’ve had a great week with all our friends in Shale and we know next week is going to be even more exciting as the weather improves! Have a fantastic weekend and see you on Monday!
