What a wonderful week returning for our Easter weekend, I hope everyone enjoyed their little holiday! We did a lot this week, on Monday we had a special guest come in to play the violin for us, his name is Yun and he is Young’s very talented son! He played our favourite songs, including “Baa Baa Black Sheep”, “Rollie Pollie”, “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and a few others! On Tuesday we painted with paint and shaving cream, and we used sponges to paint with. As we painted another group headed over to the manor to read our favirouite stories: Pete the Cat and his Four Groovy buttons with the seniors. On Wednesday, our student, Sam, brought in her pet rabbit to share him with all of our shale friends, he was so soft to touch and fun to watch walk and hop around. On Thursday, our friends went to for walk, so we saw some animals like a cat, a big dog, and a pigeon! Our Shale friends created a beautiful piece of art with the primary colours through using our hands! And on Friday we went for a great walk where we collected interesting rocks and met a friendly doggie and got to pet him! How exciting! We also started to build our beautiful giant butterfly using contact paper and tissue paper!

We are also welcoming two new friends to our Shale family! Roman and June will be joining us full time starting Friday and Monday! Also Cassi will be gone on holidays for a week as she is heading to Cuba to be a part of her sisters wedding. Have fun Cassi!
