The last week of January was especially exciting in Shale Room! We are continuing to expand on our main concept of In and Out. This week we had another chance to explore with the projector provocation in the Rec Room! We had fun learning about the different species of fish, singing fishy songs, and making shadows.

We were mighty learners this week! We put colourful water and ice in and poured them out of containers of various sizes at the water table. We also made the playground outside more colourful by spraying the snow with spray bottles containing coloured water.

We had a really messy art experience on Thursday! In Shale Room we really put everything into our art… Including ourselves! We had a great time spreading the paint around with our hands, feet, bellies, and even our faces! We can’t wait to try this again!

We had a great visit with the seniors at Ottewell Manor! We spent time with the residents and created beautiful pictures of puppies! We found out that we were mini-pianists and had a jam session on the keys! It was fun hanging out with our new friends and we are really excited to see them again.

Next week we will continue with In and Out by building structures that we can go into and explore!
