It’s been a fun filled week in Jasper room, our friends have continued to explore the concept of movement. We have started to add technology into our everyday routine in terms of using a projector to explore concepts such as swimming in the ocean, flying over Canada and lastly to move our bodies to different yoga and dance moves using “go noodle” which Bennett introduced us to. All our friends have been very engaging in these new forms of movement which help our bodies stay active. We also continued and completed our bubble wrap quilting project, it turned out great, the children used their fine motor skills to stuff the small bubbles with different materials. Some of our friends call it the disco-ball because it lights up when hung up on the window. With the weather becoming so warm, on Tuesday we also went on a neighbourhood walk to explore the ever changing landscape. This was followed by some slippery fun on our very own ice rink in our yard due to the freezing rain. Our friends loved sliding on the ice, some friends used their imaginations and became figure skaters while others were engaged in an intense hockey game. We also had the opportunity this week to visit the senior building in order to engage in some reading activities with our neighbours. We ended the week off with a Friday dance party!! We hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!
