This week in sandstone room we have been enjoying the last bit of warm weather before the cold sets in. We have been exploring our neighbourhood during our walks and playing at the park. At Ottewell park there are many big hills that the children enjoying running and rolling down. The extra mud added to the experience! We have also continued to introduce our new quiet corner into our room. This is a place for the children to go when they are feeling sad, lonely, or angry. We are exploring our emotions and reading many new books that have helped introduce new language to the children. Frustrated, lonely, and excited are a few of the new words the children have been using regularly in our room.
The weather is getting colder, but that will not stop us from going and exploring the outdoors! Please bring warm jackets, mittens, and even a toque to help keep your children warm. As well, please remember to sign your children in and out on the computer. Have a fantastic weekend!
