We have been embracing change in Sandstone room this week. With the transitions that have started between friends and educators we are all learning our new roles in the class room. Paulette has been spending some time with us. We eagerly sit to listen to her stories, crowd around to join in songs and show her all our favorit toys to play with.
We took a walk around the community and saw “worker men”. They were repairing the cracks in the side walk and we had to maneuver around some obstacles to continue on our journey. One Thursday we had art with the seniors. Betty came over in the morning and joined the children in some songs and dance. She also assisted the children in getting ready and walked us over to the Mannor. The relationships the children are developing with the seniors shows as we enter the building and the children yell out their “hello” and “how are you?” as they settle in for their project. We worked on a colaboration collage and had talked about the process we went through to complete the work.
Friday is here! We had a sunny morning outside exploring in some of the mud and using trucks and diggers to enhance our dramatic play.
Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend
