It was a warm one this week in Sandstone! We spent a great amount of time enjoying the beautiful weather outside this week. We did ice painting on the sidewalk, used sticks to manipulate our slimy flubber, and mixed sand into the playdough. These actives were great to do in the shade of our big tree. To release some extra energy we set up tires along the fence and climbed up on them, not only were they bouncy to jump on but they were the perfect height from the ground to jump off of. Out back we took the balls and through them as high as we could into the sky. Sometimes they went to high and would get stuck in the trees, Erin helped us aim the other balls at them to knock them out of the branches. Lucas made a new game for us to play, it is called “bear chase” and we played it out back and in the yard. This game is a mix of Hide n’ Seek and Tag, one person counts (usually Jessica) then goes to look for hiding friends. Once found, a chase occurs till one friend is caught. Just a few reminders going into the warmer weather. A hat is needed for every sunny day. If you want to bring a water bottle they will be your responsibility to take home and wash. We do have water coolers here with dispossible cups and water is offered every 30 minuets to the children on hot days. Have a great weekend and wishing all the Mothers a special day on Sunday
