What a hot, hot week it’s been! We’ve been enjoying the beautiful weather with lots of outdoor play, and we even enjoyed a walk or two too.
In the sand table, we’ve been exploring digging, scooping and pouring with our shovels and buckets, along with sea shells, rocks, wooden blocks and tinker trees (nuts, bolts and washers). This encouraged some simple building with some of the children. We’ve done some water play by moving water from one container to another, adding jewels to create more of an interest in movement, and washing babies.
We’ve continued development of our gross motor skills with balls; kicking and throwing them, rolling them on the ground, and chasing after them.
We will be turning our grocery store are into a nursery, to encourage and nourish the caring hands we have in Quartz room with our babies.
We have also done some special secret projects, which we were all so excited to do 🙂 The children couldn’t wait to pass them along to their family members!
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!!!!
