This week in sandstone we have taken full advantage of the beautiful weather. We were able to take multiple walks to Clara Tyner Park. The children were very brave and took many calculated risks at the park. A lot of our younger children had to over come their fear of the wobbly bridge. At first they were cautious of the bridge and unsure where to step, but as they made more attemps to go across the bridge you could see their confidence grow. Our children tested out their climbing abilities with the many different levels of climbers. After a few trips to the park we had brave children that were able to cross the bridge without any assistance and expert climbers! Our practicum student Alice has also been busy exploring building with the children. This week Alice built bird nests with the children, she set up a provocation with shaving cream and foam blocks. The shaving cream helped the blocks stick together so the children could build high but soon changed to a sensory experience when a few of the children were putting the shaving cream all the way up their arms. Have a fantastic weekend!!! We will see you all back on Monday.
