We had a fun week in Quartz Room full of discovery! We painted with puck paints and paint brushes, made play dough, we made different shapes and cut the play dough with scissors. These experiences encourage us to strengthen our fine motor skills. We also played with soap foam and drove cars through it. Cassi taught us a new song called “The Cookie Shop” this song helps us learn our colors and also helps with turn taking. We played with hair gel and added some sea shells, pieces of wood and a couple clothes pins. We used the clothes pins as sharks and sang the song “Baby Shark” as we played. We also played with gems and added water. We had a lot of sensory time this week, our interests seem to be focusing towards scooping, pouring and dumping.
We are sad to say good bye to our friend Luke who will be leaving us on Monday and also a “See ya outside” to Zachary and Alina who moved up to Sandstone.
We would like to say Hello and Welcome our new friends Keegan, Inara, Callie and Mason who joined Quartz classroom this week moving up from Shale!
