What wonderful weather we’ve been having! That being said, we have been working on our group walking We enjoyed a walk almost every day this week; listening to the birds, watching for cars, and enjoying great conversation. As well, we have been practicing fine motor skills with tongs and tweezers, picking up small items such as rocks and corks, and also using small materials like mini-blocks to build tiny towers.

We have also continued the exploration of natural light through the discovery of shadows in the sunlight.

 Michelle has continued with the colour inquiry with a group of children and revisited the story “Black Cat, White Cat”, and created a collage of loose materials that were black and white. Along with revisiting the story, we discover that Black Cat and White Cat have kittens, and they are orange! Therefore, next week we will discover what will happen when we mix black and white together.

We are looking forward to our Family and Friends celebration next Friday! We will be enjoying each other’s company in our PJ’s and having a teddy bear picnic! We invite you to join us from 3pm to 4pm for refreshments and activities 🙂
