We had a great week in Quartz classroom. We are continuing our exploring of movement and now slowly moving into movement of animals. This week we explored frozen baking soda and vinegar, painting with animals making foot prints all over our paper. We made candy cane play dough with Zandalee and used scissors and cookie cutters to cut out shapes. We started practicing and exploring how scissors work, our friends grew great interest in the scissor concept. We also played with wet sand to build some sand castles like we would at the beach, we blew threw straws to make a beautiful art work and also painted with tape on our paper.
We took water colors and paint outside to paint the snow, we also added sparkles. Our playground is full of sparkles and paint now, so beautiful. We took out water beads out into the snow. Our paint and water beads started freezing from being so cold.
Today we will be going to visit with the seniors and have some delicious cookies and maybe sing a few Christmas songs! :)??
We are sad to say goodbye to our student and friend that we gained over the past month, Zandalee will be heading back to do her studies at Grant MacEwan but first she gets to go home to South Africa for the holidays!! Thank you!
Have a wonderful weekend!
