This week in Quartz has been very busy! We have introduced more small group projects and experiences to our routine, and it’s been a learning curve for us all!
Bekah is exploring plants with her group. This week they transplanted the squash sprouts to pots. They have grown so much! It’s exciting to watch them go from seeds to an actual plant. We are all shocked at how fast they have changed.
Michelle’s group has been exploring art ideas and sensory experiences. From working with clay to helping clean chairs, add some painting and new pencil crayons to the mix and its been a whirlwind of opportunities!
Kerry has been continuing exploring yoga with her group of friends. It’s lovely to hear how the children are learning new positions to help gain flexibility and grow in self regulation of their emotions.
Ollie, our feathered friend has made lots of appearances, and disappearances, in the room. He hides every night and we go on an Ollie hunt to see where his egg could be. Yesterday Ollie’s egg cracked, and now his egg shell is gone. I wonder what he will hide in now….?
A reminder to all that with summer coming up faster than we expected, it’s hard to make room for our new attire with bulky winter clothes in the lockers. We encourage everyone to take those items home so we can enjoy our lighter clothes and the warm weather.
Have a wonderful weekend!
