What a week! We have been noticing over the past couple weeks that our new friends really enjoy emptying baskets, filling them up, and emptying them again. Therefore, we have began our exploration of dumping, filling and pouring. We have explored many ways to explore pouring in the water table with different coloured water and glitter, dishes, and different sized containers to see if we could fill them up. In the art area, we explored shaving cream painting, gluing with loose materials, drawing with different mediums (such as chalk, crayons, markers, and pastels). A group of children went for a walk earlier this week as well. We enjoyed listening to the wind and the birds, and talking to the seniors as they waited to board their bus. In our sensory bin, we enjoyed the feeling of shaving cream, exploring new materials like sea glass, glass water beads, and Cassi made a mini ocean with sand and sea shells! A vacation destination so close to home!
A reminder to our families that with fall on it way, we ask that the children come prepared to play outside in the cooler temperatures. A thick sweater or fall jacket, extra changes of clothes, as well as potentially toques and mittens!!!! Thanks in advance!
Have a great weekend!!!!
