Jasper has never been so quiet! This past week has been a record breaker for summer holiday attendance – having only a few child each day. This has given us the opportunity to spend a lot of time individually with the children that are here and helped us understand what their interests are. We have been reviewing our classroom routine and preparing for the change that is coming in the next two weeks. We have a lot of sandstone friends past and present patiently waiting to become Jasper friends and cannot wait to start their transitions on the 22nd. We are looking to change our routine by revisiting the seniors program and encouraging more team talks and music. We are also looking for a new way to celebrate birthdays here in Jasper. If you have any suggestions please feel free to offer them!
We kept busy, enjoying the warm weather that is slowly fading away. We took a trip to the park with Sandstone and built a bird feeder for our play space. We even got to go on a trip to our local grocer to purchase bird seed! We are still very interested in using the cinnamon play dough to create ships that sail the seas and islands. This interest began thanks to our heritage festival last week. They have continued using the flags from different countries to add stories to their creations. We had a visit from Liam the Librarian which got the children excited about books and inspired us to plan a year-end field trip to the EPL. If you have not handed in your forms, they must be in by August 26th.
Have a fantastic weekend
