This week in Jasper room we had a fun filled week with experiences focused on the children’s interest in rolling and sliding. On Monday we said goodbye to teacher Alix, we loved having her back in our classroom while teacher Neha was away in Thailand. Once teacher Neha came back we were all eager to hear more about her adventures overseas, we talked about how she visited a tiger sanctuary and explored a cave which to her surprise was filled with bats. On Wednesday the children went out into the play-yard and found a new way to play with the tires, they took their gross motor skills to the next level by implementing some risk taking skills while sitting inside the tires and having their friends roll them around the yard. All the children loved this activity and are now tumbling experts! We ended the week with creating a waterfall project where we explored the concepts of density and velocity in relation to the speed in which different densities of paint drip down an incline. Have a wonderful weekend everyone, we will see you all on Monday!
