This week in Sandstone, we continued to focus on buildings. We talked about our houses and buildings that we see and then worked very hard on creating our own houses. We used plaster and popsicle sticks to build our towers. The children were able to use their imaginations as well as materials from around the room. After letting our buildings dry overnight, we finished them the next day by painting them. Some towers were tall, some were small, and some were very wide. We are very proud of the towers and houses that we built!
On Halloween, Beri took six Sandstone children to the senior’s home with Jasper room to sing a song and show off our awesome costumes! We had a really fun time singing “My Brother’s a Monster” and getting a treat when we said goodbye.
This week we also had some transitions in the room! We said goodbye to our friend Noah, we will miss him here at Primrose! We also said goodbye to our friend Wyatt who moved on to Jasper room! We are going to miss our friends but we are very excited to welcome Rosemary and Hannah who will be joining Sandstone room!
Just a reminder, the weather is getting colder and winter is on its way! Please remember to send your children in clothing that is weather appropriate. This includes snow pants, jackets, mittens, and toques. We really enjoy our time outside and believe that it is essential to our development, but this isn’t possible if we do not have the proper outdoor clothing. Please send outdoor clothing so that we can enjoy all that outside has to offer!
