This week in Sandstone, we have been very busy as we started looking at sea adventures! We have spent a lot of our time learning what kinds of animals live in and around the sea and we learned that jellyfish are one of our favourites right now! We introduced our new pet jellyfish into the room who the children have decided to call “Neno”. We also worked hard making our own jellyfish with coffee filters. We talked about the parts of the jellyfish and learned that their squiggly legs are called tentacles. After we discovered that, we used white glue, streamers, and ribbons to create our own tentacles for our coffee filter jellyfish. The water table also turned into a sea adventure when we used sifters to sift through the water and find the hidden treasure! We are excited to see where our sea adventures will take us!
