Sun, Sun, and more Sun!! This week has been a very hot one, so we decided to go to the spray park this week and splish splash! It was lots of fun running in the water, all the children were splashing and screaming outside! Every child was in the water, we did not have one child stand by and watch, the water felt amazing! We also had a pool party in the classroom to help us cool off; we brought in the pool and filled it up with buckets and bowls. All the children were filling the buckets up with water and pouring it over one another and over themselves, we love pool parties!!

We have continued our exploration of light and shadow; we made our own light space in the back corner by the window. We hung up a tarp and strung lights inside of it, we like to keep the main room lights off and just have our lamps on to not only create a calm environment but also create more shadows within the room! We also discovered pipe cleaners and strainers; we used our fine motor skills by pushing the pipe cleaners through the holes of the strainer. This summer is going to be fun and fulfilled with lots of activities!
