This week in Shale: This week was a little different for shale room! The beginning of the week wasn’t as hot as it has been and we experienced a new weather experience. Shale room enjoyed the rainy weather outside watching as the rain splattered on our windows and the so many changing patterns of the rain. We also enjoyed going for our morning stroller rides, The children seemed so interested in the rain coming down as they stuck their hands out to feel the water on their hands and feet. We enjoyed building with blocks and exploring our colored blocks in the window seals to see the different colors pop through with the light and the shadows that the blocks created. Shale room loved exploring the dinosaurs on the table and playing with our plants and rocks in the water table as the dinosaurs moved around the room. This week some of the children enjoyed wearing frying pans on their heads and explored crawling underneath the tables. We explored looking at different rocks and pieces of wood through magnifying glasses how exciting this process was! We welcomed three new friends to shale room, this week! We welcomed one of our new teachers Hannah to shale room this week! Welcome we are so excited to explore and build with you. I hope every one enjoyed Canada day off this week. Have a great weekend, cant wait to see what shale room explores in the following weeks as our interests keep growing and changing!
