It’s a short week with our friends in Shale and we are excited for the Easter long weekend! This week we had a great time with our sensory play! We washed colourful balls and messy farm animals in soapy water in our water table. We loved the foamy bubbles the sponges made! Our sandbox was a real zoo with our toy animals and Shale friends scooping and pouring sand through holey containers! Our student teacher created a “Magical Playspace” out of simply a cardboard box and a few other materials! It is our new favourite space to explore! Our Shale friends put their personal touch on it by helping her paint it, and it looks absolutely gorgeous! We have some talented kids here! We also visited our friends at the Terrace to bake Carrot Cake Cookies! It was a fun experience for the children and the results were yummy too! In all, it was a pretty eventful week with our friends but next week will be especially exciting because we will have two very special guests! We will get to meet Rupert, Sam’s giant rabbit who just loves carrots! And we will also have a special performance from a 10-year old award-winning violinist, Yun, who was featured in the Edmonton Sun this past week! His very proud mom is Young, one of our Shale teachers! Have a great and safe long weekend! See you on Monday!
