This week in Shale Room we embraced multiculturalism as we celebrated Lunar New Year together! We all dressed up in red clothing and participated in various themed activities throughout the day, including the sparkler presentation! It was very exciting! At the end, we all received a shiny 2015 loonie! This is particularly special in our room as some of the families and educators celebrate this yearly!
We had another art experience with our senior friends at the Manor! This time we made gak together and sang our favourite songs like, “Baa Baa Rainbow Sheep”. It was a lot of fun! Back in our classroom, we explored painting with rollers and our whole body! It was messy, but the results were beautiful!
We love our water table in Shale and this week, continuing with the concept of “In and Out”, we used eye-droppers and serving spoons to explore hand-eye coordination! We also explored the concept further by making healthy juice using a juicer and our favourite fruits and vegetables, like apples, bananas, and celery!
Next week, we are closed Monday for Family Day! Have a great family day!
See you on Tuesday!
