We hope you had a safe and fantastic long weekend!
It was a wonderful week in Shale, and we were busy at play enhancing our skills and acquiring new ones! For many in the room, we are learning to use words or signs to express our desires. Words like, “More” or “All done” are used often accompanied by signs to say what we want or don’t want. We are hearing our newer friends trying out these words, and we are enthusiastically responding to encourage their development! Our older Shale friends practice these words, sometimes combining them with new words like “bread”, “bubbles”, “crackers”, or “wash” to let educators know how to help them. Our Shale friends have so much to say!
On Thursday, we had our Shale Family Celebration! We wanted to express our gratitude toward our a Shale families for their support and also provide an opportunity to socialize and introduce new faces. It was an amazing turnout, and we couldn’t have done it without them! The children especially seemed to be excited to show their parents their friends and their favorite toys and experiences in the room! It was wonderful getting to know you all better, and we hope to have more events like this again!
We also would like to welcome our newest friend, Ivy, to Shale! We can’t wait to grow and learn with you!
What a busy week! See you on Monday!
