In Shale Classroom we are focusing on exploring sensory experiences and testing out the boundaries of the children to see what they are comfortable with and what they are not. This week we provided more painting experiences by starting out with just pouring paint on a white piece of paper and encouraging the children to touch and feel the paint. We than incorporated ice cubes into the experience. Paulette froze Popsicle sticks in ice cubes and role modeled to the children how you can use them as paint brushes and mix around the paint. The children then started to imitate what they saw!
