Welcome back! We hope you enjoyed your Family Day! This week in Shale was short, but sweet!
We continued our ongoing exploration of In and Out in brand new ways! We practiced our hand-eye coordination by scooping and pouring using small and large spoons, as well as weaving straws through the holes of a colander. We also performed science experiences to observe how water and oil interact with each other. It was fun adding the ingredients and watching the reactions!
We took advantage of the beautiful weather this week and went outside for walks around the neighbourhood! And back in the play space, we used chalk and bubbles as provocations in our play. We loved drawing interesting pictures on the concrete and popping bubbles with our feet, hands and noses! Inside we built towers with blocks and used our beach ball wrecking ball to destroy them and start again!
Today we created a multicultural art piece using our handprints as we are celebrating Black History Month! We have been reading cultural stories and singing songs. Come and check out our display in the front entrance! Next week we will be exploring more ways of incorporating In and Out, including a terrarium!
Have a great weekend and see you next week!
