Our week has been filled with adventure here in Sandstone. We went for a walk in our community and found a big green park to play at. This park had big spruce trees that we collected pine cones under and tested our strength at climbing the low branches. A big hedge ran across the field that had hidden pathways through it. We used these pathways to reanact one of the of our favourite books, “Going on a Bear Hunt”. After weeks of having goop, a cutting bin, and other sensory items in the water table we have brought back in water! Our mornings have been filled with exploring the properties of dumping and pouring. We had some jugs in the table with some smaller buckets and we tested out moving the liquid from one to the other. The buckets got stacked and the children exclaimed “it’s a waterfall” as they washed the water run from the top to the bottom. Wish all our families a fantastic long weekend! We will see you on Tuesday
