We made it outside this week! In the yard we have been busy transporting the snow from pile to pile with an assortment of different tools; we used shovels both big and small, pails, lids, and even the wagon. We went for a walk in the community to try and find some decorations in the yards, what we found were; rain deer, snowman, and even Santa! We were so excited we ran from house to house looking in all yards and windows. We found that it was a bit tricky running in our snow suit and boots, this is something that we will have to work on over the winter season, and it takes much more energy to move in all bundled up.
Have you seen us in our towels swimming around the room? We must all be ready for vacation because we have been going to the pool and to the beach all week. Inara will wrap herself in a towel and invite others to come for a swim with her, once there is a group ready for the pool the blankets are laid out and the children take turns jumping from the couch in to the “pool”. Once they are in the pool then they need to start moving their bodies around, swinging their arms high and low the children move around the classroom.
As we gear up for the holidays there has been many singing of carols (mostly Jingle Bells), we read some holiday books, we even read one about Santa coming to Edmonton and on Wednesday he visited us at Primrose! Our neighbours in the lodge shared some cookies and juice with us on Monday, there were gingerbread cookies and sugar cookies with icing! Thank you to all the families that joined us for our Holiday bunch this week, it was so nice to get a chance to visit with you.
Wishing everyone a wonderful Holiday with friends and family and a Happy New Year!
