In sandstone we have been thoroughly exploring the great outdoors. We started our week by heading to the backyard. We took different bowls, balls, golf clubs and the wagon with us. The children spent time collecting grass, pine cones and dried berries to make soups and pies. We have also been practicing our golf swings in the backyard. It looks like sandstone room will have some serious golfers in the future. Some of the boys continued to test their boundaries by climbing the trees. A few even got half way up. Their climbing encouraged other children to test their limits and try climbing as well. Wednesday we spent the morning at Ottewell Park. Lots of fun was had as we grew our large motor skills climbing, running, jumping, and swinging. On Thursday we walked in the rain. We got soaked, it was a blast!! Everyone had fun running in the rain and finding the biggest puddle to jump in. Good thing we all had inside shoes and extra clothes. To finish off our week we had Music with Dawn and we made a special treat of popsicles that we enjoyed outside in the afternoon.
