What happened in sandstone you ask? Well we have been very busy continuing with our exploration of liquid movement. We have teased out different types of ramp painting; we have used spoons, cups, and funnels to pour the paint. We have also tested different viscosity of the paint as well as inclines. We came to the conclusion that a steep ramp with runny paint and cups to pour out is the most fun! The children have been very engaged in two tiered sensory tables. They’ve been busy exploring how ramps can transport water or sand from the high up tier to the low down tier, a few children tried to see if you can use the ramp to move the materials back up but soon found out the ramp works best for going down. With the weather being so nice this week we have taken full advantage. Every day this week we have either been going for a walk in the community or outside playing in our yard. A couple times this week we took musical instruments into the green space behind Ottwelle Lodge and Ottwelle Terrace. We made wonderful music outside. With the end of this month brings us a couple more good byes. Unfortunatly we will be losing Alina and Vance. They will be staying home with their moms and new baby sisters!! Will miss you guys! With Alina and Vance leaving brings us new children to welcome. Audrey, Allysieh, Cybil, and Kane will be moving up from Quartz. We also look forward to welcoming a brand new friend Max. We hope everyone has a fantastic weekend and enjoys this wonderful weather!!
