Our interest in movement is continuing to grow! We are learning a lot about how our bodies move through music. We have been exploring dance parties, and even brought out the dance party to the outdoors to welcome the light dusting of snow, and to keep our bodies warm. We have also been using ramps in the block center and the sand table to watch how gravity makes it move downward. We have shown a bit of interest in the mysterious creatures of the past: dinosaurs! We love to roar and stomp, especially along to our “We are the Dinosaurs” song. We have explored new textures in our sensory bins, like water beads, puzzle pieces and some familiar ones as well, such as shaving cream and sea glass.
Our Grant MacEwan student teacher Zandalee read Pete the Cat and his Four Groovy buttons. We all enjoyed singing along. As well, we got to do some feet painting! It was a fun mess!
Have a great weekend!
