This week in Jasper Room, we focused on the concepts of carrying and lifting. We created a weight scale on which the children could weigh different objects and balance them thereby learning the law of gravity. The children were also very excited to experience our two tiered sand table which once again focused on the properties of movement on an incline, we further extended the experience by adding different sized tubes to practice our fine motor skills. We then visited our friends at the manor to create some art-work, after our art experience some of our friends played an intense game of chess. On Friday we ended the week by enjoying the sunshine at the park, we met some new friends who we enjoyed getting to know, when we came back we also enjoyed lunch together at one giant table, Wyatt exclaimed that we were having a feast! The children conversed regarding their weekend plans and ate some delicious food. We ended the day by having a dance party outdoors as well as learning about how plants grow on our very own indoor projection screen. Just a reminder to our friends that the weather is getting warmer and that means the ground is filled with puddles and mud, so it would be great if we began to wear our splash pants and rubber boots for more outdoor adventures in the weeks ahead! We hope you all have a fantastic weekend!
