This week in Jasper room our friends had a tremendously exciting week with Halloween just around the corner, the kids were discussing their costumes as well as learning the “five little pumpkins song” that they performed for the seniors at our Halloween parade on Friday. We also carved our very own pumpkins which the kids were excited to do, under the teachers supervision all our friends used different carving tools to carve their very own pumpkin creations.Next week we are taking a step back to analyze what the children are interested in. During this time we will ask the children what they would like to explore. We are also asking you as parents what their interests are at home so that we may dive into building continuity between interests at home and in our room. We have therefore created an interests chart that we will be filling in based on each child’s individual interests, this will allow us to focus on those interests and build upon them by expanding them in play. Have a fantastic weekend, we will see you all on Monday!
