This week in Quartz room, we have continued the exploration of movement through a multitude of experiences. We currently enjoy music and how different tempos and rhythms make our bodies move; sometimes fast, sometimes slow, sometimes we follow directions, and other times we are silly and let ourselves move around in odd ways that are fun and sometimes challenging! We also love water play and making it go in all sorts of directions! Up, down, side to side, on angles with ramps, and making waterfalls with the sink and counter space.
Long with movement, baby play has become a huge hit in Quartz. Kerry has brought in lots of new items for the babies to help us take care of them. Blankets, bottles, sippy cups, bowls and utensils; all things necessary for caring for a little baby. We are turning into such tender caregivers. Its wonderful to see such lovely dispositions emerge.
We also took a splash (quite literally), at the spray park on Thursday with some of our Shale friends. We all loved getting very wet and splashing. We encouraged some of our friends who were a little apprehensive at first. And some of us didn’t like getting cold and wet. But we all enjoyed the walk. So next week we will be going twice! Monday June 27 and Wednesday June 29 with Sandstone. Please ensure your child has a labelled bathing suit, towel, and shoes that can get wet
Have a GREAT weekend all!
