This week in Shale Room, we have been spending much of our time enjoying the great outdoors. Because of this, you may have noticed the number of mosquito bites has been very high! If you would like us to put bug spray on your children, please bring in a bottle and we will ensure your child gets bug spray along with their sunscreen before we go outside in the mornings. We have been very interested lately in learning all of our names! We are noticing that many of the children’s language is developing quite rapidly! There are many different ways we can encourage language and literacy in the classroom, even at this age! Modeling correct grammar and pronunciation allows children to begin practicing their own words. We can also label different objects for the children which will help them put a name to the object. All of these are ways that we can promote language development! We are excited to be able to explore our voices and how we are able to use language every day!
