This week in Shale Room, we were excited to meet our new friend, Audrey!  Welcome to Shale Room, Audrey!  We have been noticing that the children have been starting to get interested in bugs.  When we go outside, they are quick to point out the ants on the ground and they were very excited about the bug display in the hallway last week, so we decided to bring that exploration into the classroom!  We have been singing a many of our favorite bug songs, including “The Itsy Bitsy Spider” and “Bringing Home my Baby Bumblebee”.  We have also been learning how we can use magnifying glasses and look through them to observe different types of bugs.  This week, we also tried staying cool by having a pool party right here in Shale Room!  We had a pool with bubbles and ducks and we got to splash around inside the pool!  We hope you all have a wonderful long weekend and we’ll see you back on Tuesday!
