This week in Sandstone classroom we brought in hospital beds. We even built hospitals out of boxes! It was a very creative experience as the children became quite elaborate within the hospital and taking care of each other.
Our favorite moment this week was “PETE THE CAT AND HIS SHOES” during this experience during morning meeting we practice our toe tapping, and have a dance party. The children are able to predict what is going to happen, and anticipate what happens to PETES shoes. This is a good way to understand colors and led to a conversation on how to use water colors.
Last but not least, we reviewed scissor safety and earned our “cutting freedom”! This was a huge success and reward for sandstone as they have been talking about it for the week.
Please take a look at the discussion we had about what valentines day is during morning meeting. It is outside the classroom door by the washrooms.
HAVE AN AWESOME LONG LONG WEEKEND!
