The children have been busy this week with their discoveries of a deeper understanding of Land Roamers. At morning meeting we discussed some qualities and characteristics of different land animals. We furthered the children’s exploration by setting up some animals on the tables and the children choose an animal that they wanted to draw. We hung these up on our wall for everyone to enjoy.

Thursday night the Lions moved in. There is a Lions Den in the block corner!!! The children have definitely spent a lot of their time in this den developing their social skills in this dramatic play area. The children have become explorers with their binoculars and backpacks and the Lions keep busy in their den with costumes for dress up. The children have shown an interest in the song “We’re going on a Lion Hunt” and they act it out using the Lion Den as their main prop.
