This week Jasper classroom has been very excited to welcome in the (almost) spring weather! After nearly two weeks of being cooped up inside we have had plenty of time to enjoy the outdoors. We started our week with a walk to the new center to see how they are coming along. We saw a giant fork lift get stacked with sheets of wood on the ground and then get lifted all the way to the roof of the building. We all waved to the workers and said hello, we’re very excited to be a part of this new development in our community. As the weather continued to warm up we discovered that the melting snow was making huge puddles! We asked our parents to make sure we had rubber boots and then we went outside and jumped and splashed in the water. One other thing the children have noticed with the melting snow is all of the garbage and litter that has accumulated over the winter. Yesterday in morning meeting we discussed litter and how it affects our community and our environment. Showing concern for the animals in our neighborhood the children suggested that we go outside and clean up some of the litter. We all put on gloves and walked around the main entrance and walkway leading up to Primrose cleaning up whatever little we could find. The children were excited to be able to contribute to their community and help out how they could!
