This week we have continued our inquiry into Cold Blooded Animals. In the gym we played Leap Frog and Turtle tag to get our bodies moving in unique ways. During morning meeting we discussed food sources. The kids identified that small lizards and frogs enjoy things such as insects, fruit, veggies, and collared greens and that larger cold blooded animals such as crocodiles, alligators and snakes eat meat. In the sand table we added moss and bushes so the animals would have somewhere to cool down when the sun got to hot for them. To finish the week we are having a special lizard meal of dirt and worms (chocolate pudding and gummy worms) for our Friday afternoon snack!
