I like to move it, move it! Up, down and all around, in Shale we have been exploring movement extensively. As mentioned in our previous blogs, dizzy play has become a ritual and active part of our day. We have seen this a bit more through the exploration of rough and tumble play amongst ourselves as well as with our peers. Dancing has always been a go to for big body movement, and now we are expanding to engaging more with our friends with light wrestling, tickling and chasing/spinning in the play space. We are beginning to recognize when our friends no longer like what is being done to them, but are still trying and working on to come up with an action plan to what is the next step in comforting and acknowledging how are friends are feeling when they don’t like what Is happening. We are looking to our educators for guidance and it will be a long road ahead until we can do it on our own, but we will get there! With constant persistence, participation, and the goal to always seek answers, these are easily achievable from our capable friends.
We are also saying goodbye to our friend Soren as he moves up in the world to Quartz room on Monday, and we will be welcoming some new friends over the course of the month of October.
Have an amazing weekend!
