Getting to know you in our place of vitality – something we have all been doing since our return from the long weekend. Whether it be the children getting to know the educators better, the educators getting know our new friends, parents getting to know the educators and the room, or even the educators learning something new about themselves and each other with each passing day. We are also learning that we are persistent, explorers, resilient, and we are questioning everything with our actions and developing words. Its how we get to know the world around us.
We have explored many sand and water experiences that encouraged us to explore new textures and feelings. What we enjoy, and what we may not enjoy as much. We have also been able to use these opportunities to explore gravity, flow, and transfer of materials from one space to another. Along with the sand and water, other sensory experiences were explored with tape, mac tac, tinfoil and art materials. This broadened the array of sensory exploration and encouraged the exploration of new ideas and the development of vocabulary that I’m sure we will all see in the near future.
We encourage you, the families, to take a look at our programming wall and observations sheet. If you any questions or contributions to aid in our programming we would love the suggestions!
Have a great weekend!
