Sandstone was buzzing with excitement this week! We have been enjoying the awesome weather, and many of our experiences were outside! We visited Ottewell Park and had a blast scampering up and down the ladders and slides. At the splash park, we ran in and out of the water, screaming and laughing as we tried to dodge the spray! The hill was another main attraction and we rolled down and climbed back up many times even when we got very tired, but we were having so much fun we kept going!
We had a scientific experience as we spotted dragonflies and watched the bees pollinating the flowers, taking the pollen from one flower to another. The bees were so large, that it caught our attention right away, and we were so fascinated that we sat and watched as they did their job! We even stopped gathering the dandelions to allow the bees to continue pollinating, which was a great sacrifice for us because we love picking dandelions!
We are continuing our main idea, Pathways, and this week we explored the different things in our environment that move down a path, like cars on a road and water down a waterfall. On our journey to the park, we changed the route that we normally take, and took another path! The children were excited to go on this new adventure and seemed surprised that they ended up at the same place! We learned that sometimes there are different routes to get to a single destination!
There have been some changes in the room, and we sadly must say farewell to two of our friends! James and Keegan, we will miss you and hope that you will come visit your Primrose family! Our friend Kane will be leaving us as well because he has moved up to the Jasper room! Good luck, Kane! We are so sad to see you go, but glad that you are just next door! And we welcome Holly to our room! We are so happy to have you and hope you will have lots of fun with all your friends here!
Have a great weekend!
